Helping people to get on in life
Jack discovered his passion for care while caring for family members. Here he shares his story.
"I discovered my passion for care while caring for family members in the past.
Although I hadn’t worked for a care company before, that didn’t matter to Trustcare as the most important thing they look for when recruiting is friendly, caring people who want to make a real difference.
Although I’ve only been with Trustcare for a short time, I’ve already achieved lots that I’m proud of. I’ve helped a client called Irlene and built a good starting relationship, she suffers with memory loss but always asks for me and remembers my name. I’ve also been on multiple training courses to help me do well in the role.
Being a carer involves lots of duties to help people live a happy and where possible, independent life. This includes things like washing and dressing to cleaning and hoisting or just taking them out and about.
The team is great too, I enjoy the atmosphere and the fact that everyone appears to love their job.
Being a carer is very rewarding and I’d reccomend it to anyone, especially with the support and benefits provided by Trustcare."
