Our Homecare service

Providing domiciliary home care and support services across Trafford and Greater Manchester through our TrustCare carers. We provide personalised support packages. From help with household tasks, washing and dressing to specialist care and medication.

What is our Homecare service?

Our TrustCare carers provide the Homecare service, and our carers are precisely that, caring. We care about your loved one and want to support them in the areas of their life that may have become a little more challenging. 

Whether that’s joining them on a social visit to their favourite place, a trip to help with groceries or popping in for a well-being visit for a cuppa, we’re here to support. 

 

Homecare can also include: 

  • Help to get washed and dressed, known as personal care 
  • Help to take medications 
  • Help with household tasks such as cleaning 
  • Help with cooking or preparing meals 
  • Companionship and social activities 

 

How does Homecare work? 

The choices around your loved ones care is essential to us. They are at the centre of every decision that is made when it comes to their support package. We will talk you through the various funding options and support you to find out if your loved one is eligible for financial assistance. We will then guide you through this process so that you are clear what is needed. 

From supporting the weekly shop to taking your loved one to their favourite place. To liaise with external partners around equipment that may be needed. 

We are here to help you and your loved ones get exactly what you need when it’s needed.   

 

How does Homecare work with other TrustCare services? 

Homecare is one of three key areas of support we provide and can be used alongside our other services to give you peace of mind help is always available when you need it. There is a range of care and support services designed to help them live at home and you to worry a little less.

 

Alert and response 

A service that can be there for your loved one, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, through specialised equipment linked to a control centre.

When your loved one presses their personal alarm or a sensor in their home is activated, following a fall, an alert is sent to our contact centre in Sale, Manchester, where the trained TrustCare operators will be ready to provide assistance, every hour of every day of the year.  

 

Equipment and adaptations  

Simple items and equipment such as grab rails, shower mats and minor adaptations to your home can help you to manage day to day life and prevent falls and injuries.  

Depending on your needs your local authority may provide some items of equipment for free and pay for minor adaptations up to a cost of £1,000.  

More extensive adaptations to your home can be funded through Disabled Facilities Grants. 

 

Is the Homecare service safe? 

Our CQC (Care Quality Commission) registered care service gives you the reassurance that the CQC rigorously examines us to make sure we meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

How much does Homecare cost? 

Your personal package is specially adapted to suit your needs. So the price will be different for everyone and depends on the number of visits you need per week and includes any of the other services or adaptations. We can talk you through the various funding options and support you to find out if your loved one is eligible for financial assistance. We will then guide you through this process so that you are clear about what is needed. 

You may qualify for VAT relief if you are disabled or have a chronic illness.
